Riley Rink at Hunter Park: Riley Rink at Hunter Park, southern Vermont's largest indoor facility, is located in the foothills of Vermont's Green Mountains. Riley Rink is a 35,000 square foot multi-purpose facility. During winter months we feature an Olympic size indoor skating rink. In spring, summer and fall, Riley Rink is converted to accommodate indoor sports, trade shows, concerts and a variety of other uses by locals and visitors.
Southern Vermont Art Center: Vermont's oldest cultural organization, the Southern Vermont Arts Center is located in Manchester, Vermont in a National Historic Trust Mansion. The Arts Center's ten galleries feature classic and contemporary art on view and for sale. The Southern Vermont Arts Center's 407-acres are situated on the slope of Mount Equinox and offer hiking trails, a botany trail, sculpture gardens and an indoor/outdoor cafe.
Norman Rockwell Exhibition and Gift Shop: Where Norman Rockwell's models and neighbors are your hosts! Orvis: Every sportsman knows of Orvis' quality (since 1856) and commitment to the products they carry. Come visit their headquarters located just over 1 Mile from the center of Manchester. American Museum of Fly Fishing: The American Museum of Fly Fishing, a nationally accredited, nonprofit, educational institution dedicated to preserving the rich heritage of fly fishing, was founded in Manchester, Vermont, in 1968. The Museum serves as a repository for, and conservator to, the world's largest collection of angling and angling-related objects.
The Northshire Bookstore: A Landmark in Manchester! Don't miss the charm of the bookstore which resides in the old "Coburn Inn". Sitting right in the center of Manchester it is more recreation to enjoy a lesiurely afternoon finding all the cubby holes where you can sit uninterrupted and pour over that novel you couldn't find at those big nation-wide stores! Vermont Country Store: Residing in Weston and Grafton, VT, this is one shop not to miss! Maintaining the family business since 1897, the Orton family state that they are "Purveyors of the Practical & Hard to Find", and one visit through their store will take you back 50 to 100 years! If you miss this store on your trip, you haven't seen the Heart and Soul of Vermont. Although their warehouse is in Manchester, the Weston store is but a 35 Minute drive through beautiful scenic countrysides, and you will even pass an operational water-wheel mill (the owner just loves to see people stop to take pictures.)
